Nail Art

I got some of those nail pens for Christmas from my sister and finally got them out to have a play about with.The results were pretty cool (and cute) so i thought i'd share them.

A Penguin, a Dog (Ziggy) a Rabbit, a Panda and a Sheep! 

George wanted some to, so I did a mini version of the animals for him, with a Zebra instead of a Penguin! 

Conker Bowling

Some time ago I posted a picture of the number conkers I made for George. I thought I'd show you a couple of the things he got up to with them. First up was conker bowling. He collected the conkers in a pot, laid down a tub trug and made up his own game! The conkers all had numbers on, so he decided that if he got one in, then he would get the score of the number that was written on it.

Surprise surprise, he got them all in! 

So he quickly got bored of this 'it's too easy Mum, I need to make it harder for the conkers to get in the tub'. So he went and got his buzz lightyear chair to make and 'obstacle course' for the conkers!

So that is a couple of the things George did with the conkers. Better late than never to post hey! If yours are still lying around then why not have a go at conker bowling or making numbers, letters or pictures with them?!

Dinosaur Galore

If you follow me on Instagram, you will know that George is currently really into all things Prehistoric! He just loves dinosaurs! He likes learning their names, that family they are from, when they were around, what their bones look like, what they eat, how big they were, how much they weighed..... You get the idea! 

George and I often spend time sketching and drawing together, we have a sketch book that we share and I love this special time we spend one to one using our imagination and creating pictures together. 

During our drawing time recently we have been doing dinosaurs. George liked my dinosaurs so much he asked me to do some for this new bedroom, he asked for 'A Dinosaur Gallery' so I set to work, under his direction, with what dinosaurs to draw and what colour he'd like them. The results were a collection of carnivores and herbivores in all sizes and levels of 'scariness' as well as some 'pooing' and 'weeing' which (again if you follow me on Instagram) you will know George is obsessed with at the moment too!

Go Ziggy!

Last night Ziggy and I received our Bronze award in basic dog ownership. I had to complete a test to show my knowledge of legislation, health, care and practical training of Ziggy. It was a bit scary but we got through ok and we were awarded our certificate of achievement as you can see below. Ziggy was so excited, he's jumping in the  air! 

But the hard work isn't over, we now start work to achieve the silver award, which, from what i saw last night, looks a lot harder! Ziggy is doing well with his obedience- he has mastered 'Sit' 'Stay' 'Down' 'Wait' and occasionally 'Dance' (where he goes up on his back legs)! The toilet training is still a bit of an issue, but I'm sure we'll get there! He actually did a poo during the test last night, which made George giggle when I told him!

Mother's Day 2013

This year George made me some fab gifts. Like any Mummy I just love homemade gifts- they really are priceless and the best sort of gift you can receive.

Face Painting

George has just got into having his face painted. He's had it done a few times before at Nursery but I have some of my own and recently he's asked me to paint his face for him! I love doing it and need all the practice I can get so it's great that he's up for it too now!
His Cousin popped over today and I painted a butterfly on her face. Once she was gone, George had a go at painting his own face.... He was a teenage mutant ninja turtle (with glitter)!
